I just read a Quarter Session report where it said that Ann Elliman of Quainton or her father was accused of stealing a chair in 1803. Does anyone have information on exactly what was stolen and by whom. It also says that the father was a tailor. Any information would be helpful.

My grandfather William Dunkley was a baker in Quainton. His father Reuben (B.15/07/1854) was born in Hampstead but died in Nash, Bucks. He was married to Rebecca Taylor and they had four children, William, Elizabeth, Edith and Ambrose. Ambrose Joseph Dunkley was born 31/05/1872 in Nash but married Annie Maria White at Hampstead Registry office 21/11/1891. I would like to be able to trace this line forward.

Has anyone got any info on the surname HENSHAW of Quainton, Bucks? My 6th gt grandmother was Mary HENSHAW bc 1680. I have no details of her parents or any siblings. Mary married Henry GURDEN b 1677 of Ludgershall, Bucks. They married in Aylesbury in 1706. TM

I have been researching this family and came across a reference that the Plaisted Family (part of) lived in Quainton from the 14th - 17th century and then made there way to London. My husbands line of Plaisteds start in 1777 in Shoreditch London and i an trying to now track further backwards. JOhn Plaisted was born in about 1740 don't know where..his son Thomas b. 1777 in Shoreditch London. If anyone has any info on the Plaisted family or could give me a direction then please let me know.
