My Grandfather, Major Eric Leigh Douglas Forster, lived for a while at the Firs, Long Park with his father John Douglas Forster (Barrister, retired) some time between 1913 and 1925. Can anyone offer information regarding them or the house (which has probably been renamed)? This is the final part of their life jigsaw that is nearly complete.....

William Potter, senior, remarried to Elizabeth Groom 22 JUL 1743 Chesham bois, Buckinghamshire. William Potter, junior was apprenticed at age 16, 1746, to the cook at the Mitre Tavern on Fleet Street London. At, age 21-22, William Potter,junior, was transported on the"Thames" to Annapolis, Maryland ariving in April 1752. Looking for information on William Potter, senior and 2nd wife Elizabeth Groom Potter and if there were any half siblings born to this union. And any information about the Potter, Benning and Groom families in the Chesham bois area at this time in history. Elisabeth Benning may have had a brother William Benning who married a Sarah Wright, 25 JUN 1742, Chesham bois,Buckinghamshire and William Potter, senior may have had a brother Henry Potter who married Elizabeth Kingham 14 April 1745 Chesham bois, Buickinghamshire. Any assistance or help in with this search would be greatly appreicated. There is also a record of Sarah Groom, baptized 4 JUL 1736, Chesham bois, Buckinghamshire. This may be a niece or other relation to Elizabeth Groom.
