Looking for info on William 'Coiner' Varney. He was held in Buckingham Gaol in Feb 1884 but escaped. He was re-captured and stood trial for making false moneys. Does anyone know who he is? I am trying to find info. on John Jarvis and Emma or possibly Eliza Robbins, who married in Buckingham in 1842. Both were aged 19 at this time and John was a soldier. John gave his father's name as Green on the cert. Was he illegitimate? Would welcome any help on this.
Heydon Vincent Hayden, was the son of James Heydon and his wife Ann Heydon (nee) Osborne. Vincent was born at Gawcott, Buckingham, 1836, he was the eldest of 6 children, next came Jane in 1838 followed by William, in 1840, he only lived for six short years, Mary was born in 1843, Thomas in 1847 and George 1852. In 1860 Vincent married Elizabeth Turvey of Buckingham the daughter of William and Mary Turvey. Vincent and Elizabeth had 9 children the first was Alice Mary born 1860, who became Mrs.Neale, then Frances Jane born 1862, who became Mrs Albert Tyrell, a Buckingham Bell ringer and allotment club member, as-well as the Cemetery Keeper. Walter William Heydon born 1864 married Matilda Mary Warr, the daughter of Joseph Warr and his wifeElizabeth (nee) Halsey, who had the Bull Inn, Well Street Buckingham. acording to the I.G.I next came Margaret Maria, but little else is known about this child, who was baptised 12 days befor the birth of her brother Arthur, (there are twins in thefamily of William and Mary Turvey), perhaps she died?
