John BLACKIE born Coldingham 1801 abouth marroied Mary SCOTT born around 1808 to 1810 in Swinton. They had at least one son George BLACKIE born 1844 ish Edom. George who was living at Lieth-holm married Margaret THORBURN born 1846 at Coldingham. They lived at Eyemouth 1881 Census, Leetside Whitsome 1891 Census, Cumledge Mills 1901 Census they had many children Robert,John,George,Mary Jane (Born England, Ann, Isabella, James,Jessie,Eliza & Helen. George died 1931 Edenkiln , Strathblane. Margaret his wife died 1917 at East Morriston, Legerwood. Their Daughter Eliza married Thomas McDOUGAL 1910 at West Morriston Legerwood,they had three children; their Youngest daughter Helen married Charles Ramsey at East Morriston 1914. they had one child. Interested in what happened to the other siblings and relatives.

Son James Hunter(Joiner) married Grace HAIG at East Gordon 1862 their son James Hunter(Gamekeeper) married Elizabeth Currie SMITH 1897 in Edinburgh son James Gordon Smith was Born 1898 Rowieston? Loge, Greenlaw he became a Joiner and married Catherine Glasgow Guthrie Headridge in 1934. Jim and cathy were my wife's Uncle & Aunt Any informATION GREATLY APPRECIATED
HAIG WIGHT BRUNTON HUNTER
George Haig and his wife Elizabeth BRUNTON are burried in Westruther Churchyard He mwas Stweard at Bassendean for many years 1841 census to 1866 death his wife died 1880 at Bassendean. Son Walter HAIG was married to Margaret WIGHT and was an Ag Lab at Bassendean in 1841 Census also Stewart at East Gordon, Middle Third and Greenknowe, bured in Gordon Churchyard 1920 ish Daughter Grace Haid married James Hunter in 1862 they had several children George,Walter, Adam,William, Margaret Wight,Agnes, Henry & Thomas. I Would like to contact any interested party.
Headridge McDougal
Jane Ainslie Headridge was Stationn MISTRESS at Gordon for a number of years until she retired. She moved there from Rosslynlee station. Her husband Andrew was Station Master at Reston when he died in 1920. So sometime between 1920 and 1948 which is when I think the line closed becuase of washed our bridges. She came to Grodon with her 4 daughters Rachael, Jeannie, Cathy and Wlma. Cathy was a public Announcer at The Waverley Station (Edinburgh)prior to marrying into the Hunter Family in the village. Anyone any info ?. Pleae contact me . I am married to Janes grandaughter (one of them).
