red mail Thomas Hobbs
Thomas Hobbs lived in White Waltham and had 7 children there christened between 1821 and 1830. His wifes name was Hannah. The children were all christened in the local church St. Marys. He was arrested with Adam Coleman in July 1829 and convicted of stealing a pig from Horwoods farm at Waltham St Lawrence. He was deported to Tasmanina July 1830 aboard the ship Clyde.Thomas was born 1795 at Hambleden and was the son of Robert and Elizabeth Hobbs. I know what happened to Thomas's eldest son John but what became of the other 6 and Hannah left behind?? Any ideas...

red mail Gregory And Huse Connections
Looking for the origins Thomas Gregory and Charlotte Bagley. Thomas was possibly born in Hughenden bucks and Charlotte in Kent although her family could come from Bucks also. There are strong Romany connections, indicated both by their trades and their childrens names and birth places. They are the parents of of Dorcas, who married Henry Huse and lived in White Waltham. Dorcas dies but left three daughters, Martha, Julia and Ann by a previous relationship living with Henry and his own children by her in White Waltham and later Littlewick Green. Can supply details of the descendents of Annie Gregory, one of these daughters. Two married under the name of Huse even though their birth certificates name them as Gregorys and a third daughter had two children both of whom also were known as Huse.
