I am looking for the birth of a Mary Greenland about 1829, in Cookham Berkshire or close by. There is a family there in 1851 but it is not clear if this Mary belongs to it. William BLUMFIELD a Tailor and his family lived at 78 Cookham High St in 1881. 1901 census has the same address but is listed as Maidenhead, St Lukes. Can anyone identify if '78 High St' is Maidenhead or Cookham. The Blumfield family are related via my great grand mother Selina Mary Norgrove and her husband James Blumfield, their daughter m James Ganley. The Pinkeny family (various spellings) held a number of manors in and around Cookham between 1086 and 1430, the last member that I have managed to trace so far was an Arnold de Pinckney and his sister Joan (1430) Joan married a member of the de Whitehead family and in due course I believe she inherited her brothers holdings.
