I live in New Zealand & I am researching my BROWN, HARRIS, ROBINSON & THICKPENNY ancestors who lived in Maulden for 4+ generations. I am attempting to move backwards another generation by finding who were James BROWN's parents. James b.1732 Flitton-with-Silsoe d.1781 m. Elizabeth SHARP 1755 in Maulden. They had 12 chn. one of whom, Francis BROWN b.1760 was my 4x great grandfather.

Does anyone know if there was more than one Mossman family in Maulden around the 1850's. My Gt Grandmothers father was Samuel Mossman although he was never married to her mother, I have only found out this fact as I have received my Gy Grandmothers marriage cert and Samuel is named as her father - but he was not named as her father on her birth cert.

My grandfather Charles Sydney Atkins was a baker in Maulden, Beds. He also lived at the George Inn. He married Emma Fisher and they had 8 children. Her father was Philip Fisher and his was Edwin Atkins from Houghton. Anyone with any connection to either family would love to make contact with you.

Mt Gt Uncle Samuel Stanbridge was born in 1885 in Maulden to Alfred Stanbridge & Clarissa Summerfield. He married Mansel Berwick in Haynes on 7.8.1905. Samuel was killed in France on 14.2.1917. I am trying to find out if he and Mansel had children. Can anyone help?

Looking for information on the Savidge family of Maulsen during the 1600s. Martha Savidge married Edward Claridge at Maulden on 2 July 1693. She was born about November 1669, baptized 5 December 1669. After marrying, she and Edward Claridge resided at neighbouring Houghton Conquest. Martha Savidge was the daughter of John Savidge. Looking for more information about her parents and Edward Claridge's origins.

Am seeeking information in respect of Wallace Burgoine who was born 1896/7 in Maulden. Was an orphan and lived in Maulden with Fred and Ellen Fossey and their daughter Kate. Served Bedfordshire Yeomanry in WW1 but killed in action 1917. The last of the Fossey family died in 1937. Any information greatly appreciated
