The Purvis family lived at Rookery Farm near Wyboston at the beginning of the 20th century and they were potato merchants/fruit merchants. The Stocker family were farmers in STaploe. red mail John Worland
John Worland of England settled in America & in 1672 aquired land in Charles County, Maryland. John died Feb. 13, 1701 in Charles County, Maryland. I am interested in finding out what part of England the Worland family came from. Some relatives say Whales. But we are not really sure. I am aware that there could be similar spellings such as Wharland or Warland. Any info would be appreciated. I would love to visit the town(s) or region(s) sometime in the near future. As well as share this info with the rest of our family.
