red mail Richard and Eliza
Richard married (his cousin?) Elizabeth in NewtownHamilton 08/08/1856. His father was John Carson and her father was James Carson; both fathers were carpenters. They seemed to have moved about Monaghan, Crossmaglen and Newry as well as NewtownHamilton. This was also by Great Grandfather. Was wondering about any siblings?
red mail Barber Mcmullen
In the 1830s, Alexander Mcmullen was farming a plot at Townland Tullyvallan near to Newtownhamilton. Nearby were plots farmed by Thomas and son Adam Barber. Alexander Mcmullen had married a Sarah Barber and I believe that these groups were related. Any information about these people would be appreciated. The Mcmullen family went to the Second Newtownhamilton Presbyterian Church.
red mail Gilliland-Innes(Ennis)
Wanting any information relating to Charles Gilliland and Helen(Ellen) Innes(Ennis) who were married in Newtonhamilton in 1854. They later moved to Scotland where the name was changed to Gilliand, had 5 children, immigrated to New Zealand in 1874. The eldest child Sarah (b.1856) never came to New Zealand nay information on her would also be greatly appriciated.
red mail Philip and Catherine Farley
I'd like any available information about Philip (Phillip?) and Catherine Farley. They apparently owned an inn or grocery/hardware store in Newtownhamilton. We believe that one of their sons was John Murphy Farley, Cardinal of New York (b. 1842). The Farleys would be our great, great, great grandparents. We'd like background info on them (parents, origins, etc.) and confirmation of the Cardinal being their son. Thank you. (Dec. 13, 09)
