Sarah married William Henry CLIFT (from Truro, Cornwall) in Warwick, Queensland, Australia, in 1867. The marriage was performed according to the rites of the Wesleyan church. Patrick Rock was born in Co.Armagh c. 1852 and married in Omagh in 1884 to Bridget McSorley. He is buried in Omagh but what intrigues me is that prior to his buriel a Bridget Rabbit b. 1823 - died 1908 is buried here also. She is an aunt of Patricks I assume. James Donnelly was christened (probably late) on 3 September 1854 in St Patrick's Catholic Church, Belfast. His father was John Donnelly: his mother is named on the baptismal certificate as Mary McCudden. On the 1861 English census she and John (a labourer) are at 6 Lower Back Ash Street, New Cross, Manchester, with Rose Ann (15, born Belfast), James (12, born Belfast), Elizabeth (5) and Edward (18 months). Mary's age is given as 40, born in Armagh. Any information about her gratefully received.

Tracing the family of Patrick (1811-1855) and Bernard (1806) McGinniss born in County Armargh. I am not sure if Patrick married, however Bernard McGinnis married Ann Burns(1818-1885). Mary's mother may be a Mary Watson. Bernard and Ann at some stage migrated to Scotland. They had at least 3 children (Bernard, Patrick, Mary. Scottish records show various spellings of the surname. Sarah arrived in Australia in 1854, where she married James Egan from Dublin. Sarah's story is sad and short, and we would love to find her family in Armagh. Also looking for the family of my gggrandmother Ann Handlon b1829, daughter of James Handlon (occ=wheelright) and Mary Dawson. My grandfather,John Daly was born in Armagh to Luke Daly a railway porter and his wife Mary nee Lappin.He and his brother Luke moved to Scotland and lived in Old Monkland Lanarkshire.John married Bridget Bennett a Coatdyke girl,daughter of a man who spent time in the local Tube Works before becoming an insurance agent.Luke married a woman from Shieldmuir,Motherwell called Mc Elhinney,whose father was a railway plate layer.John was in WW1,in the Royal Irish Fusiliers and as far as I know died at Mont Noir,France and Flanders in July 1918.Any information on John or any of his siblings or his ancestry is welcome thank you.

John Neville, my grandfather was born in Armagh Armagh according to the publication Soldiers who Died in the Great War. I have very little information to go on. This is what I know. I know he served with the 9th Battalion of Royal Irish Fusiliers and he died the 1 July 1916 and is commemortated at the AIF Burial Ground Flers Somme France. I know that he is in Plot XV Row A Grave 10. I have tried for records from the Kew the records were burnt. I know my dad got a pension even though my grandmother Mary King and John were not married. Somehow paternity was proven. Any Help I can get would be greatly appreciated.

(may have been a Stanely or a McDole surname connection) The Child was called Johnnie McDole and he also had a twin Willie. When he grew up Johnnie emigrated to America and had a daughter he named for Ruth (maybe other children) and Willie had children - Audrey and Stanely Don't have much to go on I'm afraid but hopefully this will ring some bells with someone. Christina MCGEOUGH of Drumsill, b. 1770's, was married (at Dublin in 1796?) to Simon OWENS of Julianstown House, Nobber, Meath, where they lived afterwards. Her father was the Armagh merchant William MCGEOUGH (d. 1791); her half-brother Joshua MCGEOUGH (1747-1817) inherited Drumsill House. The family name later changed to MACGEOUGH BOND and houses included The Argory at Moy. I have recently started researching this family - there is a lot of information out there about the more prominent individuals, but my tree is still very sketchy; so looking to share any information whatever.

Am trying to find information on a William James McGowan born abt 1841 in Armagh, Ireland son of Thomas & Martha McGowan nee Higgins. William went to Victoria Australia approx. 1860's and married Jane King in 1868 at Kyneton Victoria. Jane King was born Scribley Donegal Ireland abt 1842 daughter of James & Margaret King nee Alison. William and Jane had ten children two dying young the rest survived to adulthood. William died at Warragul Victoria 1918 and Jane died Warragul Victoria 1911. Jane King had a sister Isabella who also came to Victoria and married George Sharp abt 1873. George Sharp came from Falkirk Scotland. They had eight children all surviving to adulthood except one. Isabella died 1926 at St. Kilda Victoria, have not been able to find anything on what happened to George Sharp. Anyone who can help with information regarding the above, it would be greatly appreciated.

My Great Great Grandparents Patrick Quin 1801 - 1870 and his wife Agnes Dalton 1808 - 1885 lived in Creenagh Armagh a small hamlet attached to Kilmore township my Great Grandfather Patrick and the rest of the five children that came to Felling on Tyne County Durham England Thomas 1829 Patrick 1831 Margaret 1833 married to William Douglass in 1853 in Kilmore area Mary Ann 1836 married James O Hanlon in St Patrick's RC Felling on Tyne and whom we have to thank for the addition of names and places to her marriage records parents & place.... lastly Felix Quinn b1846 married Mary Cain and settled in Jarrow in Salem/Dee Street and had a family of 10 the others settled in Felling on Tyne ....Thomas married to Alice Carr first and then Mary Duffy and his six children is believed to have moved to first Jarrow and then Sunderland...The Patrick Quinn and William Douglas families moved to Noble Street Elswick Newcastle upon Tyne close to Vickers Armstrong....Mary Ann and James O Hanlon seemed to move back and forth between North and South of the Tyne.......there could be many more Quin / Quinns related to this family on Tyneside the rest of England and the rest of the world ...they seemed a very restless family always wanting to better themselves all I have found so far do not sign with a cross so I assume they had some education and were not gaelic speakers....all answers I will reply too....Patsy

I am trying to trace my G G Grandfather George Frederick Tucker. I belive he was born in Armagh in 1857 then in 1871 at age 14 he joined the army in the above regiment? Can anyone tell me what this is? He remained in Ireland apart from postings to Bermuda, America, Cyprus and Malta until 1881 when he transferred to York, England. His Father was William John Tucker who was also a soldier in Armagh. If anyone can help I would be very grateful!
