Searching for any information on John Gault and Sarah Heaney, their son Robert b 1840 migrated to Australia 1884 with wife Catherine and 7 Children. Robert and Catherine (Robinson) where married in Dunloy. about 1870 The surnames Jamieson and Sympson turn up in the childrens names. The family in Australia have a postcard of a cottage in Ballymena, written on the back the words" my old house "and the surname McLure. Any info appreciated.

My ancestral family came from Ballymoney, County Antrim. A James Craig and a Mary (Smith) Craig had woolen and linen mills through-out Ireland. They were both originally from Scotland (born there) but came to Ulster as children. They were born sometime around the 1720's or 1730's. I am curious about them but only have information on their son who left for America. I'd like to find out more about My Craig family in Ulster.

David McCaw of Loughguile, married Jane Cubit of Ballymoney, March 16, 1847 in Kilraughts 1st Presbyterian church by Rev. R. Lowe. David's father was Hugh McCaw, and Jane's father was William Cubit. The witnesses were Samuel Getty and John Cubit. David McCaw died 7 Mar 1911 in Missouri. His death certificate states his father was David McCaw and his mother was Elizabeth Campbell. Could his father be Hugh David or David Hugh? I would like to find a family connection. Thank you.

Looking for my great grandparents, Joseph Kirkpatrick and his wife Elizabeth Bradley Kirkpatrick. Joseph or his father were from Ballymoney. Joseph died August 13,1897 in Ontario, County Carleton, Canada. Elizabeth was born April 12,1863 in Ireland and died June 26, 1925 in Carleton County, Canada. Elizabeth's father was John Bradley. Joseph had a brother named Thomas who was a professor or something at the university in Belfast. Their children were Matilda, John, Graham and James(twins), Florence, Elizabeth and my grandpa,Josiph. The family was Protestant/Church of England. They came from Scotland in 1600s or 1700s. Thanks, KC

McGill and Laverty
I am desperately seeking my Irish ancestors who I believe originated in a small village in Loughguile Ballymoney Antrim. When orphaned, my grandmother was brought up in a convent in this village with her distant relatives who were nuns in the early 1900s. Can anybody help me locate the place? I am searching for James McGill born 1868 and his brother Patrick born 1867. They emigrated to Durham in the northeast of England in the late 1880s to work in the steel furnaces. Patrick married an Irish girl in Stockton in 1890 called Norah Mckenna and died later that year. James married a Welsh girl Margaret Ann Nicholas in Durham and they had two daughters Mary Ann McGill and Catherine (Kitty) McGill who were orphaned at an early age. James and Patrick's father was John McGill who was a coal miner. He died in 1899 in Stockton.

Researching McCaw/Cubit/Cubitt families. David McCaw born 15 Jan 1826, County Antrim, married 16 Mar 1847 to Sarah "Jane" Cubit, born ca 1821, County Antrim. Marriage record shows David's father to be Hugh McCaw and Jane's father to be William Cubit. To United States, arriving March 1848. Son William John born 04 Mar 1848 "on boat". His birth place given Connecticut. They migrated to Indiana and Iowa. Sons, William John (CT), Hugh C., Thomas A., David and James were born in Indiana. Two more sons, Samuel and Charles Henry were born in Iowa. David died 07 Mar 1911. Death certificate shows David McCaw as his father and Elizabeth Campbell as his mother. Information was given by grandson Richard McCaw, son of Thomas A. McCaw. Thanks for any help
