Is there anyone out there with accurate information on the Mutch Family starting with John Mutch born 1674 in the parish of Logie Buchan through to Alexander Mutch born 1824 christened 22 April 1824 in the parish of Peterhead. Alexander's son James Forgie Mutch came to Australia and my cousin married one of his descendants.

Isabella Thomson born 6th Nov 1865, Longside died 3rd Mar 1940 at 44 Blackfriars St, Aberdeen, parents Alexander Thomson & Isabella Milne Mundie (both born St Fergus, Banff). Isabella had her 1st child James William Wallace Thomson 1891, Longside. She married James Cowie Simpson in Newhills, 1895, 1901 census shows her living as head of family at 7 Jopps Lane, West Aberdeen, with her 2 young daughters, Isabella Simpson age 4 & Lizzie Simpson age 3 plus her 5 stepchildren. James married Elizabeth Edmonston Rennie in 1912, their son James Wallace Thomson was born 1913. Isabella was my ggggrandmother & I would love to hear from you if you have these names on your tree.

I am hoping to find someone with a connection to Alexander and Elizabeth (Ann? Betty?) Malcolm. I know that this family was living in the Longside, Aberdeenshire area in the 1820's because they had a son, James, bapt. in the Longside Parish, as well as a dau, Agnes, in the 1837. I do not know what happened to Agnes after 1851, but James, her brother, joined the Scots. Fusilier Guards and moved to England. This has been a real dead end for me. Any help is appreciated! Mimi

Mary Ann Findlay Cardno (b Longside 27 Nov 1881)illegitimate daughter of Margaret Cardno (b Crimond 1848 d New Pitsligo 1912) Mary Ann is a half sister of my grandfather Alexander Cardno (b 1990 New Pitsligo d? 1970's in Aberdeen) My father Alex Cardno aged 86 says she moved to New Zealand but before he was born in 1922 but I have no other information despite much searching. Mary Ann is working as a servant at Longside in the 1901 Census. Margaret Cardno also had another illegitmate son William born in Cruden in 1869. Any clues or family connections would be very welcome.

I am looking for any information on William Center and his son Alexander. Both were schoolmasters at Longside school. William was appointed Parochial schoolmaster, Elder and session clerk in 1844 until his death in 1863.He was succeeded by his son Alexander as schoolmaster until 1907.
