red mail Cook family (Revised Mar 07 Red)
Researching the Cook family from West Dorset and Nottingamshire. Joseph Cook born abt. 1796 in Thorncombe, Devon (now in the County of Dorset) and died in 1874. He married Ann Singleton 6th September 1830 at St. Marys Church, Thorncombe and had two known children Thomas (1832) and Ann (1836). It is believed his first wife died and he married a Martha Fowler abt 1842 in Thorncombe and had one child Henry born in 1844. My GGG Grandfather Thomas moved to Nottingamshire in the 1850's for the lace making trade. Trying to trace any relations...
