I am looking for a Francis King living in Theberton in Gypsy Cottages. They lived there in 1901. His wife was Rachael Wright. They had been in Bombay India before coming back to live in the cottages with their 5 children. Did Francis have siblings living in the same area? Francis was born in Theberton, Leiston in 1844.

I am searching for relatives of my Marjoram family ancestors who lived in East Bridge in the parish of Theberton, certainly in the 19th and 20th centuries, and maybe earlier. Some of the Christian names are Richard, Robert, Jane, Harriet, Jessica, Aaron. It is also spelt Marjorum some times.

John Burley(Leiston and Theberton) married Elizabeth Catchpole(born Aldringham) in 1818c in Theberton. Children included David, William,(who farmed The Grange at Theberton) Mary ann, Lydia, (born 1826(who died aged 11) Elizabeth, and Emily born 1820 who married Henry Shepherd in 1843 (parents James Shepherd and Mary nee Barber). Henry was then a widow being previously married(1841) to Charlotte Wyatt who died in 1842) Do you have any of these in your tree? Am particularly wanting to know who the parents of Mary Barber born about 1795 might be. Many Thanks.

Can anyone help solve the mystery. With an easy name of Hill you would think it easy to trace. George Hill born Theberton 1844 married to a Frances J Born Norwich, Norfolk 1846 - Children Robert John, Rosa A, Elizabeth M, Herbert, Sabina, Frederick M can only be found on the London Census from 1871, suddenly George changes name to Maxwell Hill ??? a Maxwell Hill can be found born in Theberton 1844 - son of Robert born Swaffham 1815 and Maria B Theberton 1820 any help to unravel the mystery or further information - greatly received Thank you
