Frederick Edwin Elliott & Thomas James Cathcart Elliott
(Apr 10
Red)
Seeking info on Frederick and Thomas born in Silverhill, Enniskillen Fermanagh, Northern Ireland to John Elliott & Anna Henderson.
Frederick was born 25 Feb 1866 and died 30 Dec 1928 in London. He was married in 1905 to Emma Maria Webb b. about 1872 St. Heliers, Jersey and died 9 Apr 1950. Frederick was in the Royal Engineers. Both are buried at Christ Church Cemetery in Portsmouth. They had two sons while in Ryde, Isle of Wight, Frederick Edwin Jr. b. about 1906 and John Bland Webb Elliott b. about 1907. Nothing more is known about the sons.
Thomas James Cathcart Elliott was born 8 Jul 1859 and died 15 May 1914 in Portsmouth. About 1881 he was married to Annie Effield of Aldershot b. about 1861 and died 17 Jan 1946 in Portsmouth. burial location unknown. They had four children - Bertie, Gladys, Dorothy and Elsie. No information is known about the children.
The Elliott's were a large family with other siblings being: Annabella, John, Henry, William, Alexander (1) and Alexander (2).
The Cathcart connection to the family has been debated as some in Ireland have never heard of the Cathcarts being related to the Elliotts. Other distant relatives in Britain claim there is a connection.
