BEDE ROAD, NUNEATON
Searching for information about family who lived at 23 Bede Road, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, especially ADA (nee MOUNTFORD) but married name and that of her husband are as yet unknown. Dates about 1938-1940 but possibly much earlier, until well after the 2nd World War. Ada was sister of THOMAS (Tom) MOUNTFORD, who married EMMA HIGGITT of Warwickshire. Ada and her husband had at least one son, ARTHUR, who was in the Desert Rats, and a daughter (but they possibly had more children). During the 2ndWorld War an incendiary device dropped through their kitchen roof. Their kitchen table was reinforced with a steel top and legs as protection from bombs, and the family hunched beneath the table when air-raid sirens sounded. Ada & Tom's grandmother had a laundry in Nuneaton. Any information / descendant history much appreciated for family research.
