red mail Little Family Langholm Dumfriesshire
I am researching John W Little, brother of George Little (sons of Andrew and Elisabeth Little) who held Bimbenang in NSW Australia. John ran a plant nursery in the 1860s to 1880s and there is a picture of John Little in National Library of Australia (not sure if it is same John Little). I would like to make contact with the person who holds letters held by George Little and family retrieved from barn on property in 1960s and anyone else with interest in the Littles who settled in Bathurst area Australia. Some letters mentioned Duncan Malcolm in Berhanpore India, Sir Charles Malcolm and Sir Putteney Malcolm

red mail Payne Family of Langholm
I am currently researching a book on the community of Langley, British Columbia, during the Great War. One of the young men who enlisted from Langley was born in Langholm in 1882, came to Canada in 1903, and served in the 47th Canadian Infantry Battalion during the war. He earned the Military Cross while overseas. During his time in Langley he served as Clerk to the Municipal Council, as a magistrate, and as a real estate and insurance broker. In later life he was honoured with the Freedom of the City of Langley. I am attempting to connect with living family members.

red mail Little Clan - Langholm
Researching Little family connection on my paternal Grandmothers side and have traced family back to Langholm although more work needed to confirm William's parents. He was born in 1783 and my Grandma (Margaret Little) always said there was a connection with the Malcolm family, including Sir Pulteney Malcolm. More work needed but would welcome comments from anyone also researching the Littles of Langholm.
