John Ashton, gardener, resident in or near Hornsey around 1850
John Ashton was my great great grandfather. He moved to Hornsey from Manchester around 1850 to become Head Gardener on a large estate. He had 4 children, one of whom, Alice, married Jules Cardon probably in the 1870's. They owned a restaurant in Rathbone Place, Westminster. I would be interested in any further information concerning the Ashton/Cardon families. |
