red mail Nynne/Ninne/Ninn/Nin
I am interested in sharing information with anyone research the above surnames c1550 or earlier in the Great Chart area. There was a manor called Ninne House (or Nin House) about half a mile north of Great Chart village, which was held by the Nin family until the beginning of the reign of Henry VI. A "John at Nin" was pictured in an ancient stained glass window of the church in Great Chart but this was destroyed long ago. The surname appears to have survived in Kent spelt as Ninn, although it is quite rare.

red mail Skinner
Joseph Skinner b 1765 Great Chart. Parents William Skinner & Margaret Wicks. Does anyone have Baptisms for Great Chart? Joseph went on to marry Elizabeth Sinden 1797 in Bethersden. I believe he gave a false age as Elizabeth was barely 18 and Joseph would be 32 years old (confirmed by later census returns). Does anyone have info on this family?
