red mail Thorley & Wallis Families
Hi, is there anyone who is researching the Thorley & Wallis Families of Draycott in the clay, Staffordshire. My Gr, Gr, Grandfather was Joseph Thorley the son of Joseph Thorley & Mary Wallis of Draycott. Joseph arrived in New Zealand around 1865 via Australia (we think). His father was a Fruit Seller in Draycott. Does anyone have any early history of this region. Would love to hear from any relatives. I am researching the films of Birth, death and Marriages and it seems that the Wallis Family arrived in Draycott in the 1780's and the Thorley family have been there for generations. Regards Paul.
