Robert Williamson Hornsey was born in North Newbald, North Riding Yorkshire in 1841.He married Frances Burnside in 1870 and his occupation was builder. They had 4 girls, Elizabeth,Sarah, Frances and Annie. Robert died in 1878. Any information about this family welcome.
William Thomas Anderson
Tom Anderson was born in 1872 in Shildon and became a mining engineer in the goldfields of South Africa. He married Sarah , daughter of Robert Hornsey of Darlington, probably in South Africa as I can't find a marriage in the UK. He attended Darlington Grammar School and had a distinguished career, living finally in Dorking Surrey. He died in 1948. He had extended family in Darlington whom I would like to contact. I would also like to know where he trained.
William Graham and Margreth Thompson, Darlington/Norway
I am looking for information about my great-great grandparents William Graham and Margreth Thompson from Darlington, Durham. They came to Norway in 1854. William was hired to become Norway`s first locomotive driver. William was born 25. august 1821. He and Margreth got married 9. april 1844 i Holy Trinity Church i Darlington. I got this info from someone related to a greatgrandson of them. They called the register in Darligton, but was not given any info about their parents. I am looking for any information please about Arthur H Robinson from Darlington area who served with Royal Engineers in WW1 and involved in Retreat from Mons. He was in 57th Field and was a blacksmith or farrier. He had at least one sister and was probably single in 1914.

David Wright Hatherick, born 1896, was my grandfather. His daughter, Doris Hatherick, was my mother. Born 23/05/12 she died in 1998. I would be pelased to answer questions from his great nephew. I also have two cousins named Hatherick, children of my mother's two brothers, Ronald and David, both deceased. My mother's younger brother, Sidney, died when his ship, HMS Barham, was torpedoed and sunk in 1941.
