red mail Bardwell Family in Beccles (Aug 10 Red)
I am looking for details of the Bardwell Family in Beccles. In particular anything relating to Mrs Hannah Maria Bardwell, 4 Mickleburgh's Yard or Mickleburgh Road who celebrated 100yrs of age around 1933. She had been a resident of Beccles for 70 yrs although a native of Uggleshall. I have paper clips/photos of this grand old lady. Somehow she is linked to the Nickolls family. I suspect she was a sister to Charles Nickolls also born in Uggleshall.

green mail BARDWELL family (Jun 10 Green)
My father was Frank Bardwell, b.1904 in London. His family roots were in Suffolk (his father was James Bardwell,b.1870 in Wangford, Suffolk). My father had an aunt and uncle who lived in Beccles that he was very fond of. I do not know if it was his aunt who was a Bardwell or his uncle. I do not know if this couple had any children. It is a "long shot" but if anyone can throw any light on this I would be so grateful.

green mail Sarbutt/Stewart (Nov 09 Green)
John Sarbutt and family had moved to Norwich by 1840 but were living back in Beccles (Common Lane) for the 1841 census. After that they were in Sheffield for 1851 census and eventually settled in Lincoln. I have never found records of either of his marriages which I believe would have taken place in this area.
