Horn family
Any information please on the Horn family of Alford "on the banks of the Don" in the nineteenth century? |
Bruce
Looking for any info on my father's grandparents David (abt 1857) and Elizabeth (Mollison) Bruce (abt 1863) who lived at Cairncoullie, Glenkindie, Alford in 1943. My father was a Canadian soldier who used this address as a next of kin contact for his wife, who along with her mother and brother, lived with the Bruces for a short while after being evacuated from London during WW2. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks |

Reid family
Am researching the REID family from Alford / Tullynessle and Forbes 1700s to mid 1800s, then Aberdeen.
Robert REID married Janet LESLIE about 1785 at Forbes and they lived at 'Bithnie' on the Don River. Children: Margaret (1786), George (1787 - married Margaret CLARK 1822), Benjamin (1791 - married Margaret Milne 1832) and Lilias (1793 - married Cawfield WADE in 1837.
Robert Reid possibly born Alford / Bridge of Alford. All enquiries welcome! |
