Thom, Lesly (Lesley, Leslie), Milne, Buchan
Alexander Thom married Susan Lesly on 21 Sep 1799 at Old Machar Aberdeen where their children were born. They were: George 1800, James 1803, William 1805, Susan 1809 & Jean 1813. William may have married Elizabeth Milne in 1827 at Old Machar and Jean may have married John Buchan in 1839 at St Nicholas Aberdeen. Is anyone else researching this family or does anyone have information about them?
red mail William Grant born 1898
I am trying to find information on my grandfather, William Grant, born November 20, 1898, Old Machar, Aberdeen who immigrated to the USA approx 1910. His mother's name was Euphemia (not sure of her maiden name). I do not have William's father's first name or any dates related to the family EXCEPT on Euphemia's gravestone in Fairfield, Connecticut, USA which puts her birth year as 1866. She later married a John Naughton AFTER the death of her husband, William Grant's father. In the 1910 census USA it shows Euphemia, a daughter Sarah, and a son William (my grandfather). So I am trying to find out Euphemia's maiden name, William Grant's father's first name...and any info on Sarah. ANY info on the family would be helpful....I know William Grant is a common Scottish name but i am determined to learn his history.
Mary Scott Anderson
Looking for descendants of Mary Scott Anderson born to Alexander Anderson and Susan Smith on the 28th June 1888 in the Old Machar or St Nicholas area of Aberdeen.
Margaret Pirie
What became of Margaret Pirie, a hospital nurse and single mother? She gave up her son William Pirie after his birth at 12 Whitehall Road, Aberdeen (not a family home). Date of birth - 24 Oct 1915. My father was renamed in his foster home, but not registered as adopted until 1950. He became very successful, both in WW2 and after, and is now deceased. I know who his biological father was, and their relationship was good. I know that it was probably his mother who daily watched him in the playground at Gilcomston School in Aberdeen, but never said a single word. It must have been heartbreaking. So I need to trace my biological grandmother and the family I hope she managed to have. I have over 1000 names in the family tree, but my biological grandmother has eluded me. Can you help please?

red mail McLeod
Hi, I have finally got round to looking at the 1911 census, and have found out that my great grandparents had 2 children that died. I know about one of them and that he was buried in St Peters cemetary in Aberdeen, but I am having trouble finding out the name of the other child. I have been on deceasedonline, and checked between 1902 and 1911 for names that have appeared in the family before, but have had no luck. Has anyone got any ideas as to where I can go from here? The surname I am looking for is McLeod, and the parents names were John Garland McLeod and Catherine Cowie McLeod (nee Farquharson). My great grandparents married in 1902, but their marriage certificate says their usual address was Links Street, Aberdeen, but by the 1911 census they were in Albion Street. Their first child was born 9 months afterwards in York Street! Even when another of their children was born in 1910 they were still in York Street , and obviously moved after April 1910. I do know that my gg granddad was buried in St Peters (and his wife remarried and moved to Canada), along with his mother and some other person! My great grandparents died in Clydebank and Johnstone. If anyone has any ideas as to how I can find out the name of the child I would be grateful as I am banging my head against a brick wall at the moment! Thank you!
