The Lang family of Bedhampton and nearby Bedhampton
I'm researching the life and career of an important sporting gunmaker Joseph LANG (1797 - 1868) who was born in Bedhampton and moved to London around 1819. His parents were Charles and Mary, and he had several siblings. He frequently travelled back from London to visit family. I'm interested in contacting any researchers interested in the Lang family or Bedhampton and the Southsea area during the 19th century.
Annie Eveline PILL nee Ennis Cosham
As this is the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme I am trying to find out more about an Annie Eeveline Ennis who married our Ernest George MILLS in Alverstoke church in June 1915. Sadly Ernest was killed at the Somme on October 18th 1916. We have only just found out he was married as we were told he was not. Or maybe in the mists of time a relative forgot. He was my husbands uncle and his brother William was 55 yrs when he married so hence the relatives were quite old when my husband was born in 1944. I found out that Annie E Mills married a Walter F PILL in 1918 and that there were 3 children. 1. Walter,2 Rodney and later on in South Africa David in 1924. We would love to know more about Annie and if there are photos of her and Ernest. We believe there are descendants still living in the Portsmouth and Gosport area. Ernest's family came from Basingstoke Hants but we now live in Fareham. If anyone knows of this family please do get in touch. Thank you.

Albert Edwin Andrew Jordan Portsmouth
I am looking for help in tracing my grandfather Albert Edwin Andrew Jordan who was with the Regimental Garrison Artillery in Portsmouth when he married my grandmother Violet Kathleen Tillyer in 1907. Albert was a bombardier rising to Sgt. And survived many conflicts in WWII. I have tried to get his war record but have been told nothing is available and it is probably a "burnt record". Albert lived in Birmingham from about 1915 and they had Arthur, Edward, Peggy, Ronald and Gerald William plus one other I have forgotten. I haven't been able to get back past their wedding. Violet was a nurse at Milton the local asylum at the time of her marriage. They separated about 1925 and Violet died in 1934 in Birmingham. I have no information of what happened to Edwin after he left the family home but believe he was a Park Police Officer. Any information on either or both would be very appreciated.
