Looking for the family of Emily Moss Figg, cook at the Apple Orchard B&B. Resided at 5 High street from 1927 until her death in 1967. She is buried with her husband Henry in the graveyard at St Lawrence church. Some one is bringing flowers to the grave. I am a niece of Henry and George Figg, her husband and brother-in-law respectively. Any stories of this family would be greatly appreciated.

They had GEORGE 1854, ROSA ANN 1856 then HENRY 1862 in ABINGDON , then moved to WEST WYCOMBE where they had WILLIAM 1871, EDWARD 1873 & BLANCH 1876.ROSA married JAMES NEWELL, EDWARD married ALICE STRANGE.I am not a relative but helping an elderly friend who is decended from ROSA & JAMES. JOSEPH (SON OF JACOB) BORN 1802 WEST WYCOMBE.Married a ELIZABETH BRADBURY BORN 1806 WEST WYCOMBE. They had children all born WEST WYCOMBE. ELLEN 1829 (married JOSEPH BIRCH). FANNY 1836 (married William Feasey. YES WHAT A NAME. MARY 1838 SUSAN 1841 (married James Barlow) GEORGE 1844 (married Elizabeth Woodward) JOSEPH 1848. Ellen & Joseph Birch moved to london in areas Southwark, Westminster & Battersea, had many children. Fanny & William Feasey also moved to westminster & had 2 children. George & Elizabeth stayed in West Wycombe with 4 children. Susan & James Barlow stayed in West Wycombe & had 6 children including my Grand dad George Barlow born 1882.

The Harman's were Chair Makers in the village at least between 1861 and 1881, as per the census. There were at least two generations making furniture. I have been told by grand parents that Jeremiah Harman was the licensee of the George and Dragon around 1875.
