Nelson Savage JACKSON was born at Sundon 23 Jan 1825 to parents; Ann JACKSON b 1806 at Sundon and John HARRIS b 1803 at Sundon. Nelson married Sarah HORNE b 1827 at Tilsworth. They married in Sundon 8 May 1847. They emmigrated to Australia in 1847 aboard the SS GILMORE with 3 children and settled on the New South Wales south coast at Milton near Ulladulla where they raised a total of 12 children before moving to the north coast and settling at Knockrow near Byron Bay. They were involved in pioneering the dairy industry.
