red mail beckley tubney (Oct 09 Red)
I can not find any reference to beckleys in tubney before the marriage of daniel beckley b1791 to elizabeth taylor b1796,the marriage was on 22/11/1813 at fyfield.tubney did not have its own records until after 1847. The marriage record says Daniel was not of this county (berks). There are beckleys around Oxford, but i don't no if there is a connection, perhaps someone could help. I found a reference to a William Beckley-protecters charter granting fishing rights from islip to oxford granted after he ferried troops across the river cherwell at marston around the time of the siege of oxford 1645 the charter was beleived to be held by the Beckley family until it was sold around 1900 to an angling society.

red mail Tubney, Berks. (May 04 Red)
Richard Brooks and wife Rosina (nee Absalom, of Hinton Waldrist) were in Tubney in 1901 with 4 children. Have info on Rosina's ancestry and on Richard's parents (William and Mary Ann) but can find nothing further back on either of these last two. They had 3 sons and by 1881 Mary Ann was a widow in Fyfield. Anyone know more?
