red mail book about Swanbourne village. (Dec 08 Red)
Would anyone be interested in a book about Swanbourne?. The book is titled A HISTORY OF AN ANGLO SAXON TOWN. Author is a man called Ken Reading and it has 139 pages in hard back copy. This book is a lovely book , condition like new.It gives details of the village houses and contains pictures of places in both colour and black and white.I do not want payment for this book, as I would like to offer it to someone with connections to Swanbourne. I would prefer it to go to someone living in the Uk if possible.

red mail WILLIAMSON / STEVENS / STONE / KING (Sep 08 Red)
My WILLIAMSON family resided in Swanbourne from the earliest I can find is 1781 until my gggreatgrandfather went to Ballan, Australia in the mid 1800's. I feel that most likely his siblings did not venture to Australia. Robert John Steven(s) WILLIAMSON was born in Swanbourne in 1822. He married Sarah WHITE also in Swanbourne 1851. Roberts father was James Adams WILLIAMSON born Swanbourne 1781 who married Mary STEVENS in Soulbury 1805. James father was also James born Newport Pagnell and he married Elizabeth STONE in 1780. This James father was Shadrack WILLIAMSON also born Newport Pagnell and married Elizabeth KING. My WILLIAMSON family in Buckinghamshire go back to 1688. Robert had 13 brothers and sisters and it would be nice to make connection with some of those descendents

red mail Friday Family (Aug 05 Red)
I have traced my husband's family back to James Friday of Swanbourne in Bucks. His parents were Thomas Friday and Ann Bourton, Thomas' parents were William and and Hannah. William died 1784. I believe James' brother William Burton Friday and family were the ones who may have gone to Australia. All other Fridays in Swanbourne in the 1850's were girls. I shall continue my research into the family, I believe William may have come from nearby Hillesdon also in Bucks. James moved to the Nuneaton area of Warwickshire and married Hannah Ford. The whole of this family were ribbon weavers in Bedworth then Coventry. Their son Amos Ford Friday (seems to be a tradition of using the mother's surname)also from Cov, had a daughter Edith, who married George Harrold who in turn had a daughter Daisy Born 1920 and the youngest, whose son is my husband! They all live in Coventry except us. Would love to hear from the Australians!!Please reply. Heather
