William and John Tekell - to London?
I am looking for a link between the Tekells of Stroud and the Tekells of London. William Tekell was married to Ann, and John Tekell was married to Elizabeth. Both families had children baptised on the same day (25 Dec 1790) in St James, Westminster - Martha and Thomas respectively. There were other children by both marriages. Are William and Thomas brothers? Where did they come from? Most Tekells seem to come from Horsley and Stroud in Gloucestershire, so is there a link between London Tekells and Stroud Tekells? Does anyone have John and William Tekell in their tree? Any help would be much appreciated.

red mail restall/face
seeking any info at all on my great grandparents - married in Pontypridd in 1902 Kate Restall and Walter Samuel Face. Both were born in Stroud - Kate 1880 Walter 1878. They moved to Australia and lived at Bundamba Queensland. Have no info on their parents or siblings. They had one child in Wales - Lucy Myra and then came to Aussie land and 18 years later had another girl Gwladys. Walter died when he was about 43 maybe later. Kate lived until 1968. She was a great old lady. Lucy Myra also passed away and lived a long life. I have some old photos of Kate at a Christening in 1901 of her nephew Christopher Smith. Kate was 20. I know nothing else and would appreciate some info. Thanks.
red mail The Croomes of Greenhouse Court, Painswick
I am looking for any information about Leonard (Leo) Croome of Greenhouse Court, Painswick, a "gentleman farmer", who was born circa 1883. I would also be interested in his family or house.
red mail Aldridge
My great grandmother was Sarah Aldridge. The second entry in the Parish Register is the birth of an Aldridge in 1578, so this family has been in Stroud for many generations.
