Vines Family in St. Margarets (Nov 09 Red)
Has anyone any information or memories of the Vines family who lived in St. Margarets or New Road (?South Street) Stanstead Abbotts in the early 20th. century please

Pain family at the Crown Inn (Jul 08 Red)
My grandfather was the landlord of the Crown Inn at St Margarets in the early 1930s. Any information/photos about the family (Alfred Pain) or the pub would be very gratefully received. Incidentally, my mother (Doris Bird of Hoddesdon Road, St Margarets) first met my father (also called Alfred Pain) whilst working at the pub. Any information about her mother and father (Arthur and Florence Bird) or any of the childen - Mabel, Arthur, Florence, Kath, Doris and Joan would also be welcome
