red mail BALL
We have traced back our family to William Ball, born 1800 at Ickenham. He was the Parish Clerk there until his death in 1875. I am trying to find his parents and believe his father may have been William Ball (1861 census) born Langley, Bucks 1777 and living in Ickenham at the time. His occupation is given as "formerly Steward".
red mail Hooffstter
My paternal great grandparents were John Clark(b.1847) & Fanny Poynter (b.1848ish). Fannys' fathers' name was Robert Hooffstter Poynter(from marriage cert). I would like to find out whether Hooffstter was his mothers maiden name as is often the case. My paternal grandfather was named Charles Poynter Clark, the Poynter taken from his mothers maiden name, so you get the picture. There aren't many Hooffstters around.

red mail Bloomfield, Davi(d)s
My gggrandparents Richard Gray Bloomfield and Ann Jessie Davis or Davids were married in Slough (then Upton cum Calvey, Bucks.) in 1841. Her father is said to be C.K.Davids. I can find no other information about either family in the files availableon line, (I'm in the USA) except that a Maria Jane Bloomfield married a William Hitchcock in 1827 in the same village. Might this ring a bell with anyone?
