Hi, I am trying to find the "Mackerness" link to this person. She was born 1838 in Whaddon Her Mother was Caroline James (unmarried) b 1810 in London Her grandparents were Thomas James b 1783 Whaddon and Lucy ? b 1784 Whaddon As she is only a distant link in my family tree i dont want to go to the expense on buying a copy of her birth certificate but am hoping someone with a stronger connection has, or knows if Mackerness is her fathers name or her grandmothers Maiden name. red mail search for Amy (Sep 09 Red) Stony Stratford
Any, lived in stony stratford in 1942 and was my father's girlfriend. His name was David Sloane. He lodged there and worked for a Mr Cowley, for a short time -undertaker on the High Street. My father had dementia, and kept asking for Amy -the love of his life. He also told me I have a half-brother -Amy's son to dad! Can anyone help? also he kept saying "Amy Weedon" -don't know if this was her surname or place! She did travel to Manchester about 1948/9 but dad had married my mum by then!

green mail Faulkner Family Whaddon (Aug 09 Green) Whaddon
Hi, I'm looking for info on the family of Richard Faulkner (1912) and Mary Young (1909) I think they had 6 children Sarah 1833, George 1836, Charles 1838, John 1839, Ann 1841 and Henry 1849 I believe Sarah had up to 4 children before marrying James Pratt in 1865 William 1852 Thomas 1854 Mark 1857 and Joseph 1863. However the baptism records show Thomas and Mark as child of Mary - sole woman in 1857. but the census return for 1861 shows them as grandsons to Mary. Any help appreciated as i think i may have more than one branch of the Faulkner family mixed with another J

green mail HIGGS FAMILY (May 09 Green) Loughton
My family have been in Loughton since the early 1800's starting with Richard HIGGS and Elizabeth MAJOR. Their son William was my gt. gt. grandfather. My father lived in Bradwell Rd., Loughton with his family and then with my mother Kathleen (nee DOE) and then after her death in 1960 with my grandmother also in Bradwell Rd. I went to the little village school in Shenley Church End which is now a private nursery I believe but my father and many of my relatives attended it before me. There is now a Higgs Close in Loughton which is a great honour! I would love to hear from anyone from the village especially with family connections.
