Has anyone any knowledge of my grandfather, Percy Lawrence Lawson b. 1897 in Girtford, Sandy. He and my grandmother separated, probably in the the early 1920's. My father and his brother were reputed to be abandoned, but I don't know how true this. A Great aunt Nell cared for my father, in Sandy until about 1933ish, when he entered the RAF - see more in my profile.

Frederick Frank GOSS was my grandfather born May, 1892 in London. His family are from Sandy in Bedfordshire (fathers side) and Mellis in Suffolk (Mothers side)
His father and mother were John GOSS b.1857 (Sandy, Bedfordshire) and Rebecca DOWNING b. 1876 i Mellis, Suffolk.

Luke Butcher was born in Sandy 1837 and lived at 162, St.Neots Road, he was the son of Charles and Sarah nee Baldwin. Luke married Elizabeth Cooper(born 1837) They had the following children :- Joseph born 1871(I have details of his descendant) Elizabeth Mary born 11 Jan 1864, married Cushi Albert Punter(my grandparents). Sarah Ann born 1873(I have details of her descedants) Then George, Florence,Alice and Ellen, but I have no details of their descendants.

Am seeking information on the Brawn brothers of Sandy - Augustus born 1892 and Albert 1884. Both served in the Bedfordshire Yeomanry in WW1 - Augustus was decorated for bravery twice - his medals are held by Bedford Museum. Albert was commissioned to the Bedfordshire Regiment. Any information post 1901 on the men or families welcomed.
