can anyone add to my infomation that i have on my gr,gr,gr,gr grandad, born about 1774, the only address i have for him is residence in bannon the only place i can find with that name is in france , which might conect to his wife cathrine antil who he married on the 16 feb 1795 in rothley leicester i beleive the surname antil is from the french. any help appreciated.

Could anybody be able to tell me what regiment the men of Rothley & Gadesby would of served in during the English Civil War? I believe they would of been under Captain Babington of Paske Hall Gadesby and in the Parliamentarian Army, but I have no evidence nor records to clarify this, or the actual name of their regiment.
