Remenham Hill - Avery, Shsiles or Shailes (Aug 08 Red)
I have traced my great-grandfather Edward George Avery(b. 1884) in the 1901 census to a house in Remenham Hill, where he was living with his Aunt Cathrine Shsiles (age 41); her brother George Shsiles (age 29)plus Florence (age 4) 'nurse child', Arthur Chalis (age 0) 'nurse child', Daisy Palmer (age 0) 'Nurse child', Ada Poah (age 9) 'visitor' and William Robenson (age 2) 'visitor'. I have been unable to track wither Cathrine or George through many variations of their surname and wondered if anyone had any ideas? Both Cathrine and George were born in Henley-on-Thames.
