Looking for any info on my GGGgrandfather, John Carpenter, who was born in Boldre in 1769. Also born in Boldre in the same year was a Jenny (or Jane) Pearce whom he married in 1792.Together they had a family of 8 children. (John's parents were George and Sarah, Jenny (or Jane's) parents were Thomas and Elisabeth. John Carpenter was a bearer at the funeral of Margaret Gilpin in 1807. She was the widow of William Gilpin, the well known vicar of the parish. My GGGgrandfather was presented with a bible on the occasion. It was the custom to select the bearers from amongst the poorest families in the parish. Many thanks.

Looking for anyone related to george PAVEY living in lymington with his family in 1851 at Quay hill. He was a shoemaker and his son Thomas was a tailor in the town in 1901. Anyone know the family? I am a relative of the son Charles born 1853 in lymington. He moved to live in Stockport cheshire at 19 where he married and had family. Why Stockport??

Searching for any and all info on my gggrandfather, Edward Cooper who stated in his will that he was from Lymington, Hants, Great Britain. He settled on Irelands Eye in Newfoundland, Canada and married Ann Emery. He died on Irelands Eye in 1868 and his birth is estimated to be about 1781. I don't know of parents, brothers, or sisters. I'm transcribing the Parish Records for Reighton in Yorkshire and have found a burial entry for two shipwrecked sailors from Yarmouth, Richard Language and Thomas Capps (?) who were buried there in November 1791. Has anyone any idea of which ship they may have been on. Reighton is a small village at the souothern end of Filey Bay, about a mile inland.
