Would anyone be able to take some photos of Penhurst for me? My relatives lived there early 1800's. my great grandpaents x4, John Burchett, Deborah Burchett and their son David Burchett are ment to be buried there.Any chance of photos of their graves? Any help would be fantastic as I live in Australia. Regards Karen

I am tying to find info.on Deborah Hoad born approx.1794 Battle? She married John Burchett in Penhurst and died 1868 in Dallington.Any info.would be fantastic.

I'm researching the Hobden family that lived in the area of Ashburnham and Penhurst from c1780.

green mail Hook Family (Revised Mar 09 Green)
William UPTON born 1803 in Penhurst, Sussex changed his name to HOOK sometime around 1841. WHY? If you know, please contact me. He died in 1875 as William HOOK and is buried in Penhurst Churchyard.
