Frank WATTAM / WHATTAM
(Jan 10 Green)
Frank WATTAM /WHATTAM was born in Nettleham c.1857 according to censuses 1861 (when he was 4) through 1891 (mistranscribed WHATTAN)--I have not looked later. He was the last of 12 children of William WATTAM & Ann nee CROPPER. I cannot find his birth/baptism in IGI or FreeBMD, and cannot look in PRs as my local LDS Centre has been shut for 6 months and we do not know when it will open again . . .
He may have married in Gainsborough, but to which Mary I cannot tell yet):
Marriages Mar 1882
Brett Mary Lettice Gainsborough 7a 935
Lintin Mary Elizabeth Gainsborough 7a 935
Whattam Frank Gainsborough 7a 935
Can anyone help with his birth/baptism or marriage?
Avril

The White Hart
(Aug 07
Red)
I have information on the White Hart Inn kept my grandparents and their family between 1938 and 1981. It was built by Thomas Smith in 1799. I have a list of licencees from 1913, these start with E.P.Goodyear, then in 1921 W.Coldwell, followed by L.Thompson in 1928, & H. Bell in 1938.
There is also a splendid photo of the pub in about 1900, in front there is a large group of men holding a banner, maybe a friendly society or a trade union.
