Looking for info on the family and forebears of Ellen Andrews, born c.1837, and who married Herman Grabowski in Southwark 16 Sept.1860. Ellen's father was George Andrews (occupation shown as 'Gentleman'), mother unknown. Cheers Howard

KAINE - Berkshire (Revised Nov 08 Red)
Seeking any information on the surname of KAINE in 17/18th century Berkshire (or nearby area). This is the spelling used although of course there could have been variants.

The Lewis family (May 07 Red)
James Lewis, born about 1806,married Amy Hide, and lived in Midgham and Thatcham. In 1861 he was the lock-keeper in Midgham. I think that his parents were Richard Lewis (possibly from Aldermaston) and Mary Hamblin, and that he had sisters Sarah, Mary, Latitia, Lucy, Harriet and Jame. Any information on the family would be gratefully received. Dawn
