He went to St Mary's Grammar School and Seckford College. He became a seaman from age 14 for 7 years before settling in South Australia. Would appreciate any Census and other family member info. I am seeking information about my great-great-great grandparents, Benjamin Garwood and Anne Catchpole. Benjamin was born in Playford, Suffolk in 1791 the son of John Garwood and Hannah Banyard, he married Ann Catchpole on 22nd January 1811 and they had at least 2 children, Thomas Garwood (b1813) and my great-great grandmother Hannah Garwood. Benjamin died in 1872. Anne Catchpole was born in Snape around 1791 and died in Woodbridge in 1872. I have all their census entries from 1851 - 1871. If anyone has any further information, especially about Ann Catchpole or their entries in the 1841 census, I would be very grateful to hear.

In 1881 he and his family were living in Ipswich, Suffolk, Eng. his residence was North Side Water Works St. he was then 46, his vocation was as a Lawn Mower Fitter. wife was Mary and he had six children.Walter, Caroline,William Elizabeth, Frederick and George.
