Harwood (Horwood) / Smith (May 09 Red)
I am looking for information on John Harwood born c1857 in Long Sutton (sometimes spelled Horwood) Who married Charlotte Smith born c 1858 in Sutterton. Their marriage was registered in Holbeach in 1880, they had a daughter Charlotte born c1880 in Long Sutton. On the 1881 census the family lived at Bridge Road, Sutton St. Mary. I can't find any trace of this family after 1881, I presume they emigrated. Any information as to what happened to them appreciated.

Also John Waters who married Frances Thacker; John Waters who married Bertha Woodhouse. does any one have information on Mr. john eno of sutton wash who owned a schooner which took coal from sunderland to wisbech but foundered between flamboro head and the humber possibly 1800's. the boat was called "The Alfred" i think. also any eno family around the 1800's from long sutton. thank you ,teresa

Hello My grandfather was william frow whos father was george frow and married florence. they were known to have a butchers in long sutton. George had two brothers william and harry and a sister mary ellen.there father was william frow 1827_1907 who married ellen(eno).does anyone have any info or photos.looking forward to hearing from you especially any frows. teresa

Charles Robert Hawes, my grandfather,was born in Long Sutton in 1897, and had a brother, John, and two sisters, Phylis and Elizabeth. Phylis married John Walton and Elizabeth (Lizzy?) married Matthew Bowers, from Gedney. What happened to John, Phylis and Elizabeth? Do any Hawes,Waltons or Bowers still live in the area? My great-grandmother was Harriet Louisa Carbutt, b. 1854, daughter of John, b.in the first decade of the 19C. I have traced the Carbutts through the censuses in Victorian times but cannot find what happened to them. My grandfather inherited a business in Long Sutton from his uncle Henry Carbutt.
