My g-grandfather, Frederick James Hayes, was presented with an engraved baton by the Llanhileth Town Band in Dec. 1900. We know that he was a bandsman, he may have been the conductor, but we have no idea why he might have been given this baton. Any details about the band would be very interesting as we are struggling to find traces of the band at all.

Looking for information regarding John & Jane Weller who lived at Railway Terrace, Llanhilleth in 1891. Jane died in 1926 and John died in 1936.
In 1891 they had 4 children; Mary J., Frederick E., Edgar J. and George E.
Does anybody have any information? I have a photograph of their grave but I do not know where it is.
