red mail Benjamin Stocks - a Yorkshire Stray (Apr 08 Red)
Hi - I'm trying to find out more about Benjamin Stocks born 1851 who emigrated from Halifax to North Wales - or so it is noted on the 1991 Census. He lived in my old town with an Emma Drake then married a Theresa Gee and thus started up my branch of the family tree in Wales. He set up a coal business so possibly was working in the coal industry in Halifax. He may or may not be connected with M Stocks,of Catherine Slack Collieries, Halifax.
