Banker Born At Larkbeare (8/02-10/03 Red)
From The Century Cyclopedia of Names 1895 Sir Francis Baring was born at Larkbear near Exeter 18th April 1740, and died at Lee in Kent 11th September 1810. An English financier, founder of the firm of Baring Brothers and Co. He wrote 'Observations onthe Establishment of the Bank of England' 1797.
