William Averies baptism (Feb 09 Green)
I am descended from William Averies b c1740 and Sarah Moulder. They had five children and the youngest John is my ancestor. The family lived in Langford but I believe William may have moved there from another place but so far I have not been able to find William's baptism.

Born Langford about 1850,Married BERTHA LEGG of Stanton Fitzwarren Wilts in 1873 at Stanton,my Paternal Grandmother ALICE BERTHA was one of her daughters 1875-1958.Bertha died of TB in 1881,John Robert then re married to MARTHA LEGG of HAMPTON near HIGHWORTH (not a relative!!)JR and Martha had a further 7 children ,all known.Somewhere I have relatives who I know nothing about. They lived in MILL LANE Stanton-Fitzwarren in a thatched cottage,Somewhere there is a photograph with MARTHA and two of her Grand daughters (my mother being one ) standing in the lane with the cottage behind them,It was a GWR photo and was placed in many carriages,in the frames above the seat tops long ago,I would dearly love to find a copy,has any member ever seen this photo??? I did many years ago at my Gran,s in DIDCOT.

Researching the Shayler family in Langford, William (1781) and his sons James (1819) and William (1832). The family changed their name from Shayler to Shelley in the mid 1800's for reasons currently unknown, and later moved to Chipping Norton. Any connections please get in touch.
