red mail Norris - Wetherall (May 09 Red)
my great grandmother's name was Eliza Norris and she married John Wetherall in 1865. At the time they lived in Star lane Knowl Hill which was evidently Eliza residence. John is listed as a bricklayer. I have not been able to trace Eliza's family further back. Does anyone have any details.

red mail Wetherall -Star lane- Star Brickworks (May 09 Red)
My great grandfather and his family lived in Star Lane Hurley (Knowl Hill) in the 1850's. I visited Star lane recently and discovered it backed on to a Grundon landfill site which from talking to a resident i discovered used to be the site of the Star Brickworks. Since some of my family were bricklayers this fits in well. Does anyone know where I can find any information on the Star Brickworks.
