My maternal Grandfather was James Tough, born 17 Sep 1872 in Insch, Aberdeenshire, to Margaret Coutts and James Tough. He was illegitimate. I have traced the Coutts conncection, but having no success whatever with James Tough snr. Hewas a crofter, so assume in Insch area. Any help gratefully received.
