William Maltby was born in 1853 in Hickling and later settled in Redmile. I show the marriage of Joseph Maltby to Eleanor Daft on April 19th, 1798 at St. luke's Church in Hickling. Looking for more facts to see if there is a link between William and Joseph. Also want to see any kind of connection of the Maltbys of Hickling to the Maltbys of Hoveringham and / or Orston (all in Nottinghamshire).

I have traced my tree back to 1606 with the Daft surname where the e was added to the end of daft i have a Richard Daft(e) 1606 Hickling married to a Margaret Bateman 4th May 1631.Most lived in Hickling but then arrived in Leicester Thurmaston around 1755 then into leicester itself around 1851
