red mail Hughes family in Harwell (Aug 09 Red)
By 1812,Thomas Hughes, a blacksmith came was living in Harwell, 12 of his 13 children were baptised there and hew buried in Harwell in 1844. He was born on 19 July 1787 in Blewbury, one of at least 11 children of Edward Hughes and Ann Godwin baptised there. His father was 76 when he was buried in Blewbury on 19 Nov 1826, giving year of birth C1750. It is possible he was the son of Edard Hughes and Sarah baptised in Bampton, Oxon on 20 April 1750. Can anyone confirm the link betwen Bampton and Blewbury Hughes families? I would like to hear from anyone researching the Hughes family. I havebeen unable to find Thomas' grandson (my great-grandfathe), Francis Hughes on the 1851 and 1861 census. He was baptised in Harwll on 4 Oct 1835 son of Elizabeth, single labouring woman.

I am researching my family the Wetheralls. My search has led me to a Mary Wetherall who seems to be linked to Harwell although investigations at teh Berkshire Records Office have led to the discovery of a family called Witherall in Harwell in the early 1800's I have been unable to establish a definite link. The Witherall family in question were father William and mother Ann. Does anyone have any other links to the family which might help.

red mail Bosley - Harwell (Revised Sep 08 Red)
The Bosley family have been in and around Harwell since about the mid 1800s. I would like any information on them please. I have done a lot of work on the family tree, but I am trying to find out about the children of Mark Bosley & Louisa Read. Mark ran a Butchers shop in the village, in the late 1800s. Mark and Louisa had 6 children, William, Alfred, Ernest Mark (my husbands grandfather) Louise Maud and Mary Elizabeth and Frank. ErnestMark had 5 children, Ernest, Jack, Alan Douglas & Benjamin. I have come across someone called Sib who emigrated to Australia in the early 1900s but cannot find out anything more about her, I am told she was a sister to Ernest Mark, because his children say she was their aunt, but that is where the mystery is! that would make her either Louise Maud or Mary Elizabeth! Any information regarding the Bosley family would be appreciated.
